Havard
Hi Staples, I am having exactly the same problem, been searching for months & months and I have read every post I can find, I have flushed matrix, fitted new thermostat, checked rods, and all is fine, a few weeks a go I had a nice 48 degrees with a temperature sensor in the vent, now I am lucky if I get 4 degrees, I am having another go tomorrow and will definately let you know if I find anything. Mine seems to work for a bit if I force water back into the matrix outlet pipe whilst running and then quickly put the pipe back on, but after a week of driving I loose all heat. Steve That sounds like an airlock in the matrix, you may have a tiny holes somewhere that is weeping and then flashing off as steam when the car is warm? Thanks Harvard thats what I thought when I found a slightly loose hose clip on the matrix out pipe which was weeping slightly and I thought I had cured it, may be another tiny hole somewhere yet to find. I have just pressed the 2 big button on the heater controls to put it into diagnositc mode which indicates, air mix position sensor and solar sensor. Dave
Hi Stevie. yeah the connecting rod is performing as it should and the cooland temp needle goes to temp. As the rod moves to close the flap when cold air is selected it makes like a double clicking noise, for about a second or so. Not too sure if that is normal but when the weather improves I might get the central dash panel out and have a good look. have you got a wet floor passenger side, lift up the mat on the right side, if no water its not leaking maybe its a simple airlock

How do I get rid of it?
