Guest keener99
Hi might be getting a cheap supra but the bottom end has gone. Would it be cheaper just to buy another n/a engine or rebuild it?? Advice would be great thanks
pedrosixfour
Far cheaper to buy a used one of known quality.
Tyson
I'm sure engines can be had for peanuts and a proper rebuild is going to be expensive depending on what you have to replace.
Abz
Yep, far cheap and easier (labour wise) to swap out. I'll have mine up for sale in about 6 months, done less than 25k!

Guest keener99
well the car is a mk4 supra with most bits for it and that engine for £450 so i guess its worth getting?
Westy
Def buy another...no sense in rebuilding an N/A.
Supra Gaz
A Supra for £450 is a bargain, you can pay that for just the shell. Forget the n/a block, drop a tt, a V8 or 1jz in there!
Havard
NA blocks are only £200 IIRC. H.
Chucky_waR
I will definitely go with buying a used N/A motor. I just had my single rebuild after doing a big end bearing and so far it's about £2k but atleast I know my motor is new and good for many miles..
