Josh
I don't find it easy even with a tt Same here. In the dry I have to really try, but then I feel bad that I'm hurting her
Robzki
Same here. In the dry I have to really try, but then I feel bad that I'm hurting her made me chuckle With my auto It will rarely lose any traction until the 1st turbo kicks in and on a nice warm road it won't spin at all. Either my car is broken or my tyres are too grippy. Edited February 8, 2012 by Robzki (see edit history)
Abz
It is all about weight distribition... so you would have to be going some speed to unbalance the weight of the car. Though when you saying drifting, are you talking about 'proper drifting'? If so not with an NA autobox.
Guest keener99
Yeah but thought you can leave it in first or second with an n/a box?
Abz
Yeah but thought you can leave it in first or second with an n/a box? You can, but how were you planning on drifting?
Robzki
I would think you would be limited by power, engine braking and also by the indirect power transferred by the torque converter/autobox for 'proper drifting' you could slide however which is also fun
Guest keener99
Dunno, full lock flat out lolYou can, but how were you planning on drifting?
Swampy442
Buy a manual
Aero-M
na's have enough power to drift, and the autobox in manual mode will work.
Robzki
Buy a manual I tried, read it cover to cover, still can't drift.
Kirk
Is it possible to lose traction in an NA? I can answer that one !! https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/260124_10150299609602214_584057213_9408931_1552916_n.jpg
marc_p
Dunno, full lock flat out lol That would be a donut, not drifting. Also an N/A auto is not good for it, you would need terrible tires. However you do sound like someone who will be posting up a 'Slipped on diesel' thread next week.
Kirk
Pah, you can drift anything if you have the talent. Certainly didn't stop this guy
Neil-NA
I can answer that one !! https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/260124_10150299609602214_584057213_9408931_1552916_n.jpg As much as i take the pi55 out of you for that i really hate seeing that pic To the OP, i have some michelin pilot sports that will be perfect for drifitng an NA auto if you are interested (and yes fully road legal)
Josh42
What size are the tyres? How much do you want ?
Neil-NA
Tyres are 255-50-16, not sure on price, i paid £100 off ebay, must warn you these have next to no grip dry, wet or even on the drag strip (i was getting a tiny bit of spin on gearchange at pod in 3rd and was sideways in second at shakey)
