Guest Lucygurl
I have a 94 3l na, and bin looking at upgrading my exhaust. I either take both middle silencers out, for a straight pipe and rear box, or jus change rear box. I prefer to have catback but i dont want to sound chav loud. Any ideas any1? TheTurtleshead
Loads of cat-backs on eBay Apparently the TRD replica ones are good quality. I would recommend a blitz nur spec if you want a nice sound that's not too loud! If you're not bothered about removing the cats to get more power, then a cat back with both cats will give you a nice sound.
Guest Lucygurl
Yea i was looking at the ones on ebay, i just dont know if replacing two silencers with a straight pipe will make it tooooo noisey x
TheTurtleshead
On an N/A, it will be very loud with both cats gone, but not too bad with both cats still there and a cat back, just a nice burble! Don't forget that most cat-backs have silencer Boxes in as well, so it's not just a straight pipe So you should'nt be in any danger of going deaf or getting murdered by your neighbours! ripped_fear
As said above if you keep both cats it shouldnt be to bad, if not just go for a quiet cat back, there is a few option out there
stevie_b
I've read on here that a double decat on an NA is pretty noisy. Edit: I'm too slow!
Scooter
I loved my nur spec S back box only exhaust but they are rare 2nd hand and expensive new. They are subtle where a cat back IMO often isn't and some cat backs can get a little droney on long runs and with the engine at certain revs/throttle openings.
