a98pmalcolm
Hay all. I'm thinking of building a new rig so I would need to sell my current one. The only thing I would take off is the hard drives, Ram Cooler and a CD Rom drive as these will be needed for my new build. If you wanted to pay an extra £70ish I will leave the CD rom drive fitted and install a new hard-drive with install Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit all made Genuine. Just wondering if any one would be interested in buying my system: Spec: Processor Q9550 Quad Core 2.83 GHz overclocked to 3.80Ghz (these are awesome processors) RAM: Kingston HyperX DDR2 8 GB (only bought 2011) Mother Board: Gigabyte EP45-DS3 PSU: I-cute 1000w Case: Antec 900 (modified for cable management and an extra side fan) Graphics Cards: 2 ATI 5750 1GB DDR5 crossfired totalling 2GB (only bought 2011) Cooling: Corsair H70 watercooling (only bought 2011) I'll most probably include the creative fatal1ty sound card awell. The PC runs any game with no problems at all, Battlefield, Skyrim, Crysis. Take your pic and it will run it. I just fancy a change. The Ram Cooler wouldn't be included as I would use them on my new rig. Few pics (Don't do the system justice. Its a nice tidy set up, sorry its a little dusty) http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/58/20120204193130.jpg http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/5476/20120204193301.jpg I'd be looking for about £

Tyson
how much is the ram cooler ? Could be interested in this, how many hard drives do you run with at the moment?
a98pmalcolm
Hi supra man. I use 2 ATM a 1000GB and a 250GB but I will be using them for the new rig. But for an extra £70ish I can fit a new HDD for you with Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit made Genuine and keep the CD rom drive on there. I'd want to keep the RAM cooler for my new rig mate. But there about £20 new
a98pmalcolm
Anymore possible interest gang? Quite keen on building a new rig :-P
Scott
I think you'll struggle to make that money if you aren't selling it complete bud. £450 is a lot of money for old tech, you can get similar setups on ebay with newer hardware for similar money. a98pmalcolm
Hi Scott to be honest I have to disagree a little. I'v just gone on e-bay and added up the components I'm selling (besides the mobo I just guessed at £80ish) new at £880 not included a HDD nor CD ROM drive. Ontop of that the CPU is overclocked to a nice 3.80 GHz from its factory 2.83Ghz and 100% stable. As I haven't set an exact price and only looking around the £450 price and have mentioned that I can complete the rig (using a new HDD) with Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit for a little extra I will consider sensible offers. Scott
That's buying new bud, as I said... you can buy better spec for similar money. Here is an I7 machine which would blow a quad core out of the water... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gaming-pc-/250986332582?pt=UK_Computing_DesktopPCs&hash=item3a6ff381a6 That was me searching for literally 30 seconds. Comes with 1TB HDD and Windows 7 X64 premium edition. CJ on here got an absolute bargain of a PC for £250 the other week, SSD HDD the works. 2nd hand PCs with old tech don't sell for anywhere near the cost of brand new parts. a98pmalcolm
Well thats on bids Scott! and a day left so lets see how its goes, could end up on £1100 for all you know. Yer I saw CJ's thread. I know 2nd hand is no were near the price of new thats why I said a price with ended up around half the price of new! Here we go same price as I asked for http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Intel-Core-i5-2500-Quad-Core-PC-Gaming-Computer-8GB-1TB-ATI-RADEON-HD5450-1GB-/300613430374?pt=UK_Computing_DesktopPCs&hash=item45fdf4ec66#ht_2121wt_1140 Not as good GPU and my system has 2 that im offering CPU isnt running as fast Cheap looking case unlike my Antec 900 that I modified for cable management Doesn't have the sound Fatality card Same RAM (ok its DDR3 mine is DDR2) Will be a std cooler my system comes with H70 corsair water cooling Looks a cheap mobo.. Mine is Gigabyte with a P45 chip And if someone Pm'ed me saying "can i have a CD ROM drive with windows on a HDD for the asking price" My asnwer would have been.... Yes. Do you think that is a fair comparison? You have picked out a brand new, with warranty, PC and compared it to 2nd hand goods? The i5 processor is MILES better than an old quad core, it's not all about clock frequency. If that was the case the 3.6mhz P4 I had from years ago would be the bomb according to that kind of logic. DDR3 makes a HUGE difference, DDR2 boards are now considered to be very very old tech, I wouldn't touch one... and certainly not for the money involved. Listen mate, I don't want to keep posting in a thread where you are selling something. I mearly pointed out why you won't be seeing any interest. You can disagree all you like, I can almost guarantee noone will pay that money for that system 2nd hand. Good luck with the sale regardless, I sincerely hope you get what you are after for it.
