Neighbour just came around to tell she's abandoned her car in the middle of the street. Looks like I'll be helping her shift it when her husband gets home. Gave in at half time as mini Mooret was turning blue and Burnley were losing too. Struggled home with ice and snow everywhere. Chose the route that was flattest and kept the speed down, but still ended up sliding downhill towards a roundabout with all 4 wheels locked up at no more than 2mph! Managed to time it right and miss everyone. As you may have gathered live near to Burnley and we now have about an inch of ice. Yes ice not snow. It rained earlier and then froze creating a layer of ice on everything. Then we have had sleet, rain, a little snow but mainly hard ice crystals. I made the mistake of not putting a hat on and now feel like my bald head has bene exfoliated. Horrible ice crystals are still coming down hard. H.
