drift_bear
I was thinking about this a few days ago while on my lunch break at work, how easy would it be to drop a supra TT lump into a lexus is200 and have it running BPU? The cost? Who would do it?
SamuraiFlash
I am also very interested in this swap as I will need a family car with my son growing up. Another car that I would like to swap a 2JZ into is the RX8.

I wouldn't mind having another lexus as it was a good car and great fun to drive, just lacked decent power level compared to the supe

Guest ugp
As Dude said, Aristo TT motor will drop in, I've wired one up, quite easy to do, although custom prop is required if going manual.

Any idea how much It would cost to do the conversion and would the 6 speed lexus box be able to work? I just want to find out as much as I can! I just want to find out as much as I can! Lexus box will last about a day, the 2ltr screws em !!!! a 154 is cheapest option.
drift_bear
If the NA would drop straight in, then how can't a TT? Is the W154 not weaker than the lexus 6 speed box? I'm just wanting to find out all the info I would need if I wanted to go down this route and find somewhere that would take on the challenge with a rough price. The Lexus manual box is the same as the S15 Silvia IIRC, which means its useless for tuning.
SamuraiFlash
I believe it will, all parts are available from a smashed IS300 jus wiring to sort if you want a TT Will it require more work to install the tt engine and autobox out of my supra into an is200/300? dude
Will it require more work to install the tt engine and autobox out of my supra into an is200/300? You need the sumps and maybe mounts from a GS300/IS300 the box and prob may well slot straight in but some wiring to get the ecu in.

garethr
There is a lot of info on my.is, although the Americans are more likely to start with an IS300 (and they have a manual version). Actually, I'm not sure if the IS200 was ever sold over there.
