Gaz6002
If you use the search facility this has been covered before
ripped_fear
This was posted only last night bud search will show a few results. Dipping can be tricky to get right, but Wrapping is allot easy and if your stuck get 'Dave' on here to do it as he is great at carbon wrapping. Dnk
Dipping or WTP Water transfer printing isn't really a DIY job in my opinion but does look good if done properly. A friend had it done on their dash and it looked pretty good, better than the fake c/f stick on kits imo
Tee from China
doesn't Ibara do WTP at his place? Edited February 4, 2012 by Tee from China (see edit history)

Dnk
doesn't Ibara do WTP at his place? Ibrar was in the process of setting this up last time i was there but had a problem with the electrics on the machinery. That was a while ago. I shall be having some parts done by him if he's got it sorted.

Guest jaybelene
there is a uk website for this http://www.mydipkit.co.uk its not for everyone but looks ok
Dnk
there is a uk website for this http://www.mydipkit.co.uk its not for everyone but looks ok I think this is possibly okay on very small parts but for decent size pieces like dash plastics or wheels what are you going to use to dip them in ? If you have a big corner bath then maybe you'd get away with it
Guest jaybelene
absolutley mate you would not be able to use this for a complete dash but all the bits that can be removed from the dash could be done, like air vent surrounds or the panel where the heater controls are. as for wheels unless you are driving with 13" wheels then the mahoosive supra wheels would be too big, but wing mirror covers door handle, battery covers ets could be done in this stuff
Guest KingAntz
Why not Carbon Skin it yourself... Carbonmods.co.uk sell you all the stuff you need to take yoru original part and then wrap an actuall carbon layer over it which then makes it normal Carbon but with the original base. Real easy to do as well, just time consuming thats all.
Stevo
Have done a few bits n pieces of skinning in the past and I'd say it was far from 'really easy to do', although I guess it depends on the shape of what you're skinning. These are some of the mirrors I did a while back now for Dyer on here: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?225294-Got-my-Oem-Carbon-mirrors-!!&p=2852091&viewfull=1#post2852091
ashbuster
nicework bud ive been wanting to try it for a long time but never got around to it i will try a couple of things at some point, the videos at carbonmods make it look really easy but i guess it depends on the shape
Guest KingAntz
Yep anyhting that has holes in it (dashboard surround) does become a bit tricky but as soon as you figure it out then it becomes a tad easier actually
