Scott Posted February 3, 2012 Share Posted February 3, 2012 Really scott? After the 60GB I thought they only read PS3 games? Mine plays PS1 games, or rather it did. Not sure if it still does after all the various updates. It plays PS1 games via software emulation, the 60GB version has a hardware chip in to run the PS2 games. There is nothing stopping sony from implementing a software upgrade to allow all models of PS3 to play PS2 games, the only difference would be that it was software emulation.
