black_widow87
Evening guys, Looking at getting my rims refurbed soon by a mate of mine as im fed up mith the black on black look. Not sure on the make of the wheels but i believe they have potential. Im thinking of a grey/anthracite colour similar to the pic below as its a very similar design but theres a problem, my rims aren't splt rim meaning i will possibly lose my chrome lip due to the method of powdercoatng. My question for you guys is will my wheels look naff with the dished lip the same colour as the rest of the rim? Would be great if some of you photoshop wizards could give me an idea with and without the polished lip, any other colour suggestions are welcome. Cheers Jake Edited February 5, 2012 by black_widow87 photoshop requests... (see edit history)
Dnk
Are the fake bolts plastic or metal ? some are plastic and will melt in the oven Also your rim isn't chromed its just machined cast aluminum then polished.
Rob_Mitchell
The bolts melt but you can stick new ones in, plus once powder coated you can get the dish diamond cut in again no problem

I'm not sure to be honest dunk, some of them have a corroded green colour to them. Tried taking one out with an allen key earlier but managed to strip the head I didn't even apply that much pressure. richarde7927
Cost is always the answer mate .you can have the wheels however you want if there is no limit on cash . as i said on sunday the cheapest was is to paint the hole wheel and fit some new bolts. after cleaning my plugs this morning she fired up sweet and running back on all 6 cylinders . black_widow87
I'm just worried they will look naff all done the same colour rich, if it wasn't for them fake bolts in th rim I'd be fine.
