Take 2 rear wheels with you with drag radials fitted and swap them over at the

strip, low profiles are a waste of time when dragging

Out of interest what would you consider to be low profile Dunk?

I am using 255-50-16 and 265-45-17, but am thinking of trying 245-55-16.

Not sure on the numbers but the smallest diameter rim you can fit with the tallest tyre you can fit

would be my starting point.

Obviously getting the gearing right is a must so this will vary from manual

to auto and how each perform off the line and at the top end.

I'd be checking what other supras with similar power and g box are running

which should give you a good guide

I wouldn't recommend R888 for the strip. You will get a far better tyre for the 1/4 mile than them. They are great in that you can drive them legally on the street then pull up to the 1/4 mile and get a decent time, but you can do far better than those for pulling the times down.

You could do as I have done. Get some 16" Stock wheels and put some MT ET streets on. If you have UK brakes though you will need a min of a 15mm spacer then they fit a treat :)

That doesn't sound right at all.

Stock 16's wont even go over UK rears never mind fit!

I would have thought a high aspect ratio drag tyre was more important on the strip than UK rear calipers? Fit some Jap spec calipers and 16 inch rims, or even some custom discs and calipers and 15 inch rims? Depends how keen you are to rip the drivetrain out of it ;) Depends whether you are keen enough to swap set ups over for best performance in two totally different disciplines.

Absolutely, brakes are only vaguely important on a drag setup, better to use a 'chute to slow you down, or a cocktail umbrella if you are NA
