Branners
I'm there...well I will be once I do my donation and stuff. The tunnel runs really are something special folks, if you have not done one before I can heartily recommend it. And so long as you follow me AFTER we get past Canary Wharf you wont get lost. tooquicktostop
Where does it end up, I could walk to the Arena as I live 1 min away and say hi, dont think the car will be ready in time to actually make the drive
Branners
Usually ends up near Greenwich park at about 3am, having gone from Essex, past Canary, through Blackfriars, along Embankment, across westminster bridge, stopping at London Eye, out to the Strand underpass, along past Holdborn, down to blackfriars, along to Westferry roundabout, back to London Bridge tunnels and then on to Greenwich. Its an amazing sight seeing 100s of Jap cars running through London. You can be totally lost and find a tonne of other cars coming the other way who are also lost. I know London fairly well now, so I just survive on an ageing Tomtom and my london knowledge. I usually throw in the run along London Wall and Barbican too. Sounds great, I have been driving in London for years so I would have that to my advantage, will ask Dave to crack on and see if we can get it ready, Essex Arena and Thurrock Services are a magnet for tons of street racers every saturday night, it will be interesting to see who turns up, last week there were loads of very nice Sierra Cosworths hooning it around
Branners
this is Jap car only, they wont let anything non-jap in to the arena. Usually works quite well.
TheTurtleshead
Sounds awesome Branners, do they do a route plan before so you can pre-program a shatnav? Only thing that worries me is having to drive home to peterborough after finishing at 3AM! Might see if I can bunk with one of my uni mates, she lives about a mile away
ScottC
They give you a plan of the route once you're in the venue, there isn't enough time to get all the waypoints programmed into sat nav. Edit, thinking about it if someone brought a laptop along with them we could use Tyre to plan the route in and the copy it to all the sat navs.
Branners
I usually find enough time to get the plan in to my satnav on the itinerary system so it can be done. But you do need to pay via the justgiving site before you go, they then have your name and give you the route plan and tick your name off. Usually around 500 cars or so go to this. Branners
do you have a Tomtom? I better order my new one, but perhaps the tunnel run with 15 cars following me is the wrong time to be trying out the new one. Trusty old binatone Tomtom for me I think.
