Big brake kit

My KAD's will be for sale shortly, only done a few hundred miles from new. New pads that fit, not the mintex that come with them. Complete kit with braided lines, big disks etc. 6 pot F+R.

Any good?

Oh, and they're red :p

Rob, read Dan's thread on brakes and calipers. Many do not improve on stock.

Yeah i done some reading BUT anything is better than jspecs mate.... i do need to think about stopping :D

Most people fit them for the look they give rather than the performance, just

like 19 inch wheels  :D

Looks YES! and performance over jspecs, i think they will be ALOT better. Jspecs were useless even when i was running na engine.

Overhauled stock setup with CW pads :)

powder coat the calipers!

Agreed but if you want that blingy look behind your 19's the UK's

just don't do it in that department :)

They work really well but sadly lack the presence of a big billet caliper

I agree but i dont have 19's..... just want a nice set of brakes behind the double six's , and ksport anodised orange is sexy!!

I have said it before I think, I must have some very special jspecs here which stop the car with ease. They may not handle a trackday well, due to boiling the fluid as there is less surface area of the pistons to dissipate heat. but they get the abs working overtime when needed.

Jspecs are seriously poo imo, i have uprated discs and pads and STILL they feel ropey, i wont feel safe when the single is done

If they can make the abs work then its showing they are working well enough to defeat the frictional

grip the tyres have with the rd, any more braking force is rather pointless.

Ofcourse this could be due to poor tyres giving lower grip or poor rd conditions doing the same.

The biggest benefit is lots less fade or even no fade on the bigger calipers and better feel, also

there probably going to be lighter and look better.

Shame the real good ones are so ------- expensive

M, I wouldn't bother with the KSports, KADS and D2's mate. I only bought my AP6's because they looked good under my Veilside wheels but in theory I don't even think they are as good as UK-spec breaks with good pads etc. They might be equal(ish). I read an article on SupraForums a while back where it was even suggested that the cheaper version of the brembos were in the same performance league as that of the UK Spec calipers.

The UK Specs have great performance capabilities but are not that great on the eye.
