19 inch wheels? what you think for the supra??

So far I have had no issue with 19's..

The ride is not great but I suppose Japans roads are decent...

For the look they defintely make the car stand out, Supra arches are huge..

I reckon for ultimate handling they not the best, but how fast can you go on a public road?

On the track I would change to the stock 17's, for drags on would use DR's so I reckon for everyday 19's are the way to go...

When people say '19's for everyday use' do they really mean as in an only car, daily driver. I've never tried 19's but imagine the rubberband tyre wouldn't have enough flex to absorb anything.

You right, not as a daily car.. As a daily car the max would be 18inch..

As a toy, on the streets the 19's are fine..

I have no problems with traction on my car in the dry, its a bit stiff for the wet but

i can live with that and drive accordingly :)

I wasn't very impressed with the soft (treadwear rating 140) Yokohama Advans on mine - would still spin to 4th in the dry. However, Jamie's doesn't have that bad traction with a bit more horsepower so I'm wondering if my suspension setup isn't at least partly to blame.

I think your asking too much from any set up other than say drag tyres

on a very good surface if you have 700 whp + :)

Agreed though that getting the geo spot on will help but unless its a fair bit

out i dont see it helping much

Mines a lowly 400 ish so other than in the wet mine just grips and goes :)

Ive got 19"s, Dont notice a massive difference with handling but tyres are a massive pain to get hold of. They are not off the shelf items sadly

but then again, i dont drive my Supra very hard as i know i have skill level of a blind granny after using crack cocaine for the first time.

Try not to over sell yourself mate ;)

Can buy my old 19's if you want ed ;)

- thought you were refurbish yours to a new funky colour?? : D

Personally 19's for me, the supra is a big car and big wheels suit it. (imo)

'summary' level I guess I'd say 19's for looks, 18's for compromise between looks & handling. - have seen some nice supe's where 18s look stunning - but they were lowered a fair bit.
