Jos
Started with removing the rear subframe today, and was surprised how easy this was to remove. Took me approx. 3 hours, was really not hurrying (and dislocated a finger:( by my own stupid fault). I am in the process of sandblasting the new subframe and arms, will paint them hopefully next weekend. (pics to follow)

Jos
With my improvised sand blasting cabine: and a lot of time I got all the paint and rust of all the parts: They are all in 2k primer now, hope to paint them this week (subframes and tank cover black, arms and heatshields silver) and assemble them next weekend. Jos
Got some progress on this, ordered an uprated TT clutch from Chris Wilson (excellent service:thumbs:) to complete my conversion, received used driveshaft and clutch pedal parts (thanks StuartW and Turtleshead) Driveshafts still have to be painted, the rest is all finished in 2k paint: And had the time this weekend to put some of the rear together, the diff being the hardest to put in place, that thing is heavy:blink:

Jos
That looks so good mate! well done. I wish i had spent more time at the back of mine.... looks brilliant what you have done thanks Mitchell, I'm a bit surprised to hear that you don't have your rear suspension as beautifull as the engine bay;) (since you even took the time to polish your gearbox I believe?) Jos
Got my uprated clutch from Chris Wilson (thank you) this week, and a used flywheel, should be more than enough for the power I'm running now (stock) or in the near future (BPU)
Jos
Now that I have almost everything for my conversion, I decided it was easier to take the engine out to do the gearbox conversion, mount the clutch pedal parts, switch the subframes and clean everything up. It was actually easier than I thought, although it helped alot that I had already removed the rear part of the front suframe. I've used the alu suframe part as engine stand, works great

Jos
Cleaned my engine bay today and removed some more parts so I can paint them, also stripped my interior so I can cut out the tunnel section and fit the clutch pedal. By now there are not many parts on the car to strip, so I hope by now it's only putting parts back on.
