Jos
Since my first post almost 2 years ago (http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?219692-supra-newbie) some things have changed to my precious supra. Alot of those are thanks to the people posting here so i'd thought I'd share some of those changes.. When I bought her she was not in the best shape, stood still for almost a year, and was pretty dirty and stinky. especially the carpet: So changed that to one I bought of the forum: Much better . Jos
Next was my suspension, there were (and still are) some knocks I wanted to get rid of. In the end, changed my rear wheel bearings, upper arms, front steering rack and since there was a HSD groupbuy new coilovers. While I was at it, painted a lot of the suspension parts: Edited January 24, 2012 by Jos (see edit history)

Gaz6002
Very nice! If you host the pictures on this site rather than Photobucket (to stop them being moved or deleted by PB) we can move this into the projects section

Jos
Thanks guys !, appreciate the support. @Gaz6002, finally got the pictures uploaded and displayed correct, thanks to the guide from ScottM. @westy882, all the parts come from a Toyota dealer display demo of a Jspec supra wich was stored at a school, so the parts have never been used, just gathering dust:). @Robzki, the speaker mounts are custom made, I took the mounts template from here and cut them out from 12 mm Hdpe, a hard plastic I work with. I then made rings that fit the speakers and (plastic)welded them together. @Dane, looking forward to see the progress on your car!, noticed you weren't on the dutch forum anymore? Gaz6002
Moved this to projects - thanks for taking the time to upload the pictures If you think of another title you'd like to use in the long-run then you can change it by clicking 'edit post' on your first post and then 'go advanced'. Then change to whatever you see fit. Not that this one isn't good, but some members like to have their names in the thread title.

I then made rings that fit the speakers and (plastic)welded them together. Thats what I was hoping you would say I make Corian worktop so have plenty of access to thermoplastics and resin glues in any colour, I'm just about to fit my front speakers and have been considering using it to make the brackets for a while. Yours look very oem Thanks for the reply R.

Jos
Thanks Gaz6002 for moving me to projects, will try not to let everyone down;), I want to get started with the conversion and the new subframes this weekend and thinking about doing my oilpump while I'm at it. Just haven't decided if I'm going to take the engine out, but will update as soon as I'm at it.
Jos
Did some toying around with the parts I had bought, they were all still fitted to the subframes so took everything apart and cleaned them up, next week I want to prep all the arms for paint (silver), because there is little rust on them. Now I can start a list what to order to make it complete and put everything under my car, sofar a few bolts are missing, I have no driveshafts and clutch and the propshaft needs some work (one of the joints have been welded together:blink:. I want to get the propshaft fixed and balanced again, and maybe get my auto driveshaft shortened for the 6 spd big diff, I believe I saw there is a 6 mm difference in them. Also fitted the steering collumn that came with the parts, was some fiddling since the wiring was cut off, but now got a nice new looking steering wheel and column. Jos
Since it's pretty cold outside and my garage is not heated:cold:, I decided to do finally change the lenses of my taillights (in the kitchen, were it's nice and warm), I've been hesitating to do this, because I didn't like the idea of putting the lights in the oven. I had I spare (crappy) set of taillights to get the extra clear lenses from, and to practise on, and it really was an easy job before: after 4.5 min. in the oven at 150 degrees, and some grinding of the white lenses: the result:
