Shaving? Chaps only, I guess.

Wet shave after ensuring face is washed with hot water.

(Whilst having a bath is ideal, or put wet cloth in microwave and then cover face for a few mins)

Use babyoil on face not shaving cream.

Stroke against the grain.

Be accurate, dont rush and dont keep going over the same area twice.

If you have to run the razor more than 3-4 times over an area - the thing is blunt - so replace.

Right - any more questions ?

Every few days I just go over face and head with clippers set at grade 0. I always have stubble, but it's just so convinient.

The way I look at this is that it would normally cost me £5 to get my hair cut, normally once every 2 weeks, thats £130 a year! That's about enough to put fuel in for another 500 miles!

I believe in taking care of myself with a balanced diet and rigorous exercise routine. In the morning if my face is a little puffy I'll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1000 now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturiser, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturising protective lotion.

Anyone who has met me will know the above is a lie (and stolen - 10 points for identifying the source), I wake up and generally don't shave, on a beardy day I will use a trimmer to reduce the growth back down to stubble, I used to be a hardcore shaver though, pre shave, shaving oils, moisturiser, aftershave balm etc but I just can't be bothered now, it only comes back again.

And it's ginger, WTF is that about?

Patrick Bateman, American Psycho.

I hate shaving too, and prefer the hobo/bum/unemployed/fight club esque look. I've got an electric razor, a Braun Activator, but it doesn't work very well, and irritates me every time I use it considering the money spent. It doesn't leave my skin quite so bad as wet shaving though.

Hate it! Have got sensitive skin, used to wet shave for a few years but always cut myself to buggery. Now I just trim my stubble every 3-4 days when it starts to get itchy with the clipper bit of an electric shaver. Don't think I've had a proper close shave in a year or two. Luckily work is pretty relaxed on that front.

King of shaves is good stuff but you pay for it.

I shave every 2-3 days (daily makes my face red raw). I use gillette gel, go over face, then apply king of shaves gel and go against the grain, only way to get a smooth shave, otherwise feels like I haven't bothered!!! Another good idea is to shave after having you bath or shower as the water does soften the hairs up a bit.........

Finish off with some King of Shaves After Shave Gel.

Anyone tried the Clinique for Men range of shave stuff?

I got some for Christmas once, it was very good but no better than cheaper stuff like the Nivea shaving range.

The best stuff I've ever used was an Armani set, preshave, foam and balm - worked a treat but was too expensive for daily use. I tried to find out who made it for them in the hope that I could buy a cheaper version without the label but failed :(

That is from American Psycho.
