I find it quite funny, people want to moan about others bashing the N/A... even when it actually is just in jest, but when a thread is made to let them voice their opinions of why it's actually a good car on it's own merits (which would be good for potential buyers and newbies etc) they are nowhere to be seen.

I guess that says it all really :D

Is anyone getting confused what version of this thread we are on???? Only a few "passionate" NA fans voicing their opinion after so many thought trashing it was wrong, Speak up people.

TBH I could say alot but I prefer to keep things to myself as you get the usual 'its not worth it' response, same reason I never started a project thread.

I liked the fact I could afford it seeing as for some reason I would want a 6speed manual over auto if getting a TT although GZ aerotop is still my 1st choice.

With being self employed and somewhat gimped up (knee injuries not a suprastar3000 way) and the way work can be with being self employed and time of the year it was a good fall back to get a NA rather than try and save for a TT and I still stand by that choice. My cars reliable somewhat quick looks good and is not your run of the mill common everyday focus ect you see all the time and add that to the fact I have wanted one for years and insurance is way cheaper than skylines and Evo's I think it was still a good choice.

Neil write down whatever you want as we did actually do the NA bashing the other day and seeing how you have probably brought most the stuff you can for a NA through trial and error then surely your opinion bears most weight same as David P and his thread of Aem in NA.

Plus I quite enjoy reading other peoples ideas ect which is 50% personal enjoyment and 50% because I am sad and have no friends or life ect.

LOL that thread is the whole reason i will not do a project thread again, people jump to quick onto the 'i told you so' bandwagon, its like all the people that said i could not do a low 14 second 1/4, fair enough i didn't do it, however when you look at the facts and figures you can see why i didnt do it (crap tyres causing a bad 60ft) but people don't see that bit, they just jump in with the slateing.

i think most of us n/a owners would be interested in a project thread Neil, i'd like to see how your car progresses, as graham says you've probably been through the most n/a performance parts so us n/a owners would defiantly be interested in what you've found.

as for this thread, i absolutely love my n/a, so glad i bought it, fair enough i couldn't afford a tt but no one knows til i boot it and don't move :D

I do like my NA even though I would like a TT at some point or NA-T or whatever but whether I ever get round to getting/affording one is a different matter and may not end up being practical. I think the thing with this forum is not to take things too serious as we all love the cars regardless of what spec they are hence why we pay the membership. I don't get why some people bother getting cut up over some good natured ribbing which I frankly think is the best part of this forum and apart from learning new stuff and looking at other peoples cars for ideas for myself is why I come on here to have a joke even if it is at my own or my cars expense.

I love my NA, love the shape, the reliability, it's rare looks , always getting told hostile it looks, it may be comparatively slow against the tt, but is fast enough to put a smile on my face everytime I drive it, ofcourse I'd love a tt, and will either be NA-t or tt transplant later in the year,

But I am proud of my sexy supra and love it , and it's surprising how many more powerful cars can't keep up with me on a good fast windy road, or round castle Combe

I am hopeful that if you wrote your experiences down they might let us have a sensible thread and discussion and keep the abuse to the NA bashing thread where we can all be helmets and laugh about how unlucky we are.

If my thread yesterday has ruined the NA's scene here even more than before (if possible) I am sorry.
