I love my n/a all I hear turbo owners go on about is boost this and turbo broke that blah blah blah,it's the looks of a supra I like couldn't care less if its got 220 bhp or 1000bhp.

My thoughts entirely.

I used to have an NA and loved every mile I drove in it. In 18K miles it only let me down twice and this was due to old corroded pipes or a set of old plug leads. I have to ask why I got a TT. It now sits under a cover all the time looking pretty. I have a turbo for the one in a million chance that some toe rag in a Saxo or Corsa may try it on as my NA didn't exactly blow them away on the two occasions in 3 years that I was challenged...!!

If I could find a 2001/2002 NA manual with low miles I would buy it tomorrow.

I was really disappointed when I saw this thread. It started off so well and then became serious for some unknown reason. Glad to see that it's almost back on track though.

Slagging an N/A should be taken like someone slagging off your football team, it's got nothing to do with anything in particular... it's the weakness that gets a pounding regardless of where it lies.

Well i have read all 6 pages and didnt want to comment as it really does annoy me that all the slating is always aimed at n/a owners,i mean you turbo boys buy your car and then hide it away as you too scared to use everyday or cant afford too, what the point of that?

I think the idea of the thread was just to have a giggle, i love my NA, aslong as you liek the car it doesn't matter what people think.

Now back to slating NAs ;)

I don't think it's just the "turbo boys" that don't use them. Any car that is in pristine condition should be kept that way if the owner wants to maintain it. Whether I had an NA or a TT I still didn't use it as I never really go for a spin for the sake of it. That said, the NA was never under cover so it did get used for nipping out occasionally.

Either way it;s personal choice as to what car you have and how you use it. If it is a pi55ing contest then speed and power would be one of many criteria. How about condition, looks and how it makes you feel when you drive it. Either way, who really gives a monkeys what anyone else really thinks?

You read all 6 pages yet failed to see that it's mostly N/A owners doing the slagging? I don't know anyone that's too scared to use their car every day, never heard anyone make such a ridiculous comment in my 5 years on the forum. A lot of us TT owners just have the car as a weekend car for a bit of fun, hence why they aren't out a lot, owners choice at the end of the day... fear though?? Come off it, you're clutching at straws.

I even tried to pin this all on you earlier seeing as you were not here to no avail. Sorry Gaz we were/are/ sort of playing nicely but to blame falling NA prices on a jokey thread that Scott started is about as bright as Abz offering to race Usain bolt on foot.

Mail me some homebrew, I will leave buyer feedback too.

I would agree with this, I use my daily more as I bought the supe as a fun car, but the reason I keep it in the garage and not used as much in bad conditions is to keep it in the best condition. I go out for a spin in it when I can but love all my cars to be in the best condition possible :)

But as above it's everyone's own choice and I've enjoyed reading the comical comments in this thread :D

And for some reason I wasn't surprised to see Abz drag racing career being bought into it :D
