Scott
Has he actually recieved it? If so, get him to click the experience index and post up a print screen of what it shows. The SSD is a MASSIVE selling point, those things are £100 a pop minimum. It'll boot up Windows 7 in about 20 seconds.

It is off a member of IMOC and just happens to be a 20 mile drive from where we are picking the new mr2 up. I've just looked at my PC score and it is 5.
Scott
Not getting it until Saturday. It is off a member of IMOC and just happens to be a 20 mile drive from where we are picking the new mr2 up. I've just looked at my PC score and it is 5.1 Don't read into that too much, your score is always based on the lowest hit. In most cases it's the GFX card but after that it's generally the HDD. My Laptop hits 5.2 but that's because it uses the onboard GFX to do the rating. Details are.... Processor - 7.5 Memory - 7.5 Graphics - 5.2 Gaming Graphics - 6.6 Primary Hard Disk - 5.9 if it wasn't a laptop and had a proper GFX card in I would have 7s across the board other than the HDD. The HDD will ALWAYS hold me back. Changing to an SSD would shoot that up to a 7 also. As I said, it's not to be taken too seriously but it is a good indicator

DamanC
Whilst its a first gen i5 CPU and a failed graphics card (still good but was considered a fail with its price in mind), £200 is an absolute steel. New, a year and a half ago it would have cost £750+ pre built. Some system integrators still sell the old tech too so the tech isn't exacatly old toot. PS - look like GEIL RAM
CJ
Seems he (read me now as he owes me a huge amount of favours and my PC will do him just fine) has got a bargain
Guest George89
that is a bargain! very good CPU cooler. SSD is excellent. Not so good: Seagate Barracuda Graphics card I would recommend overclocking the cpu due to the cooler you have it shouldn't be a problem. a98pmalcolm
SSD nice. 200 notes its great mate I spent silly money over time on my pc and my scores? Processo - 7.5 Ram - 7.5 Graphics - 7.3 Gaming Graphics - 7.3 HDD - 5.9 So for 200 notes thats an awesome result!
EMPEROR
The only thing I am not so sure about is if this PSU is good enough for the specs, but that PC is truly a bargain!!!
CJ
He / I am very pleased with this. There is nothing worse than buying "blind" although we did have an idea that this was a good buy as a fellow member had already indicated as such. Happy days

I think for the use it is going to put to there wont be a need. Plus, we haven't got a clue how to do it!
DamanC
Not so good: Seagate Barracuda Whats wrong with a Barracuda? I missed the PSU - That will most likely fail.
CJ
Whats wrong with a Barracuda? I missed the PSU - That will most likely fail. On the spec listed (and bearing in mind it wont be used for gaming) what psu would you recommend?
Scott
On the spec listed (and bearing in mind it wont be used for gaming) what psu would you recommend? Corsair are about the best you can get, as you won't be loading it heavily I would just get a spec that would get you by. The lower end of the scale corsair would be fine, but they are still quite pricey. Given the spec of the PC and the value of it all given what you paid I would definitely think about spending the extra lolly to protect it all. If you did you would have a PC suitable for many years of doing what you do Col PS: The seagate drive will be fine.
Scott
http://www.dabs.com/products/corsair-memory-600w-builder-series-cx-v2-atx-psu-7JSQ.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=product+search&utm_content=Q200 That would be about perfect for your needs. It says 600w so it gives 600w, plenty for what you need.

DamanC
The CX range are indeed a good budget PSU and it will *probably* be fine. £10/£15 more and you are in corsair TX range. The TX650 PSU is spot on. CX warranty - 2 years - TX warranty - 5 years

Scott
The CX will be fine but I didn't realise the warranty difference. For £15 difference it would be silly not to
