Did Heroes ever get back on the rails?

I really enjoyed Heroes when it first came out. I waited each week for the next episode to be available and then, after watching, pined the next. This continued pretty much till the end of season 2. Season 3 began and things just seemed to go really off for me, the funny thing is it isn't because of the ridiculous powers or the ridiculous situations the characters get/get in (as that happened from the get go), it's because of the way the characters act. It's as if when exposed to people with powers for any length of time (more than 2 seasons) you turn into a nutbag with no morals who will always do the exact opposite of what morality and reasonable common sense would tell you to do.

Anyway, I've decided to pick this up from where I left off in season 3 (Episode 15). Does it get any better? Worse? I want to keep watching it but I can't help thinking that it's just going to get worse.

Was there an ending? I thought it got cancelled mid season. First two series were brilliant, then it went rapidly down hill after that and the story line went off at such a tangent it was hard to decide whether there was a story line at all. Peter losing is memory and powers was the point where it got uber boring for me.

Edit: I did watch it to the end....it was rubbish.

Same here I really enjoyed the 1st two season. I think it all went a bit wrong when peters farther came into it and his powers went a bit odd. From that point it just seamed that was no equal to syler. I did watch the last episode but nothing special happend and never really got back to what it was. But still worth a watch I guess but then I like the hole super hero thing.

For anyone thinking of following down the same path I honestly wouldn't bother. Season 3 has been absolutely garbage, a few ideas have just been thrown onto paper and workarounds have been put in place to make them possible. Some of the things happening are just ridiculous, they have thrown far too many red herrings and the character development has virtually frozen to a halt. Peter is as much use as a left handed screwdriver whilst he was always the anti-sylar.

If you have a lot of hours to kill and seriously nothing better to do then I guess you could give it a go.

Ok, just finished.

Avoid at all costs. I can't believe this isn't a kids show. It's so unbelievable at times it is truely ridiculous. The way characters fall for the same old crap over and over again and never learn from any situation past, present or future is shocking. Also the way they accept things when they are so ridiculous is just laughable. The only reason I stuck with it was to try and get some closure, it was cringeworthy though and I honestly wish I hadn't even started with it.

The bad guys become good guys, then the good guys become bad guys. This happens episode, after episode, after episode, yet all it takes is 1 tiny explanation here or a whisper in the ear there and all is good again. There is only so many times you can hear "I trust my Father" and then 2 mins later noticing that they have went against the parent for someone they have only known for 2 seconds.
