So why do we buy Supra's over, say, a R33 Skyline?

The styling, the reliability, the prestige feel.

An R33 is very dated all over IMO. I would actually choose an R32 over an R33 as it has all the positives but it is also a proper retro car now, not an inbetweener, so it gets away with its older feel/look etc.

That is also my opinion...! Well put Scott..!

I have owned both (Well actually I am on my 7th or 8th Supra, cant quite remember), The R32 is a superb car, the R33 is a bit lardy and dated quickly, I am a big fan of the R34 but they are pricey and now we have the superb GTR, this succession could be one of its downfalls, the Supra MKIV lasted with a good production run, it was more importantly not succeeded

This was my little R32

I bet if you poured a bucket of water over that engine, none of it would drip out the bottom! :D

Here are some of my old R33, it was only a GTST but had a nice hybrid turbo it was just the auto box that let it down! very tail happy, but simply sold it to buy another supra!

This looks awesome!!! Was it much quicker than your Supra?
