Thorin
Puma Power! http://www.kulthea.net/wp-content/gallery/ford-puma/puma-002.jpg http://www.kulthea.net/wp-content/gallery/ford-puma/puma-008.jpg http://www.kulthea.net/wp-content/gallery/ford-puma/puma-011.jpg http://www.kulthea.net/wp-content/gallery/ford-puma/puma-012.jpg It has some fancy suspension kit, exhaust system, Ford Racing Puma inlet and map. I've a few little plans for it but not much, I was supposed to be buying this to save money. Needs a full service and cam belt changing. Also going to get all the suspension bushes replaced with powerflex items and new stock engine/gearbox and top mounts. Some decent front discs and pads will be going on along with new fluid and braided brake lines. It's been stripped back to treat the rust on the rear arches and under-sealed etc. but still just needs the paintwork sorting. Will be getting detailed including giving the engine bay a good clean too after that. Then new speakers, small active sub, possibly some sportier seats and some other little interior improvements too. Wait, I'm supposed to be saving money right? Great little cars, quite torquey engine, you don't need to rev it to get any performance out of it. Surprisingly quick too! OK it's not Supra effortlessly quick, but you can't help but thrash it more and just throw it into the corners and not have to worry about it. I can see myself more in danger of losing my license in this than I was in the Supra!
Thorin
Well not that you jap crap owners care, but the car's booked in next week to have FRP cams, manifold, and remap done next week. They reckon it should bring it up to around 160BHP (stock Ford Racing Puma was 155bhp, and they reckon their map is a bit better).
Geo
Good little car mate. So what the plans you going to get another Supra down the line?
Graham1984
Are you using superchips for the remap??? Geo is getting a puma too although he has not made it public yet hence him here having a peek at his future car.

Tyson
Very nice, will you be playing straight six engine growl on the speakers to make yourself feel better ?
Graham1984
That wouldn't be any more pathetic than me having a fake whistle/dump valve attachment in my NA exhaust would it??

It's nice having a specialist 10 minutes down the road from me for a change! Good little car mate. So what the plans you going to get another Supra down the line? Maybe. I don't know. Trouble is they're just getting on a bit now, and to properly restore one refreshing/renewing parts is getting properly expensive. Sure if I had the money I'd love a single turbo. I honestly think I'll probably move onto something newer though, but I don't know what. Possibly some Merc AMG... Very nice, will you be playing straight six engine growl on the speakers to make yourself feel better ? Style
Was very surprised to see an FRP engine hiding underneath the bonnet there, quite rare pieces of kit! Makes a nice raspy noise too. Looks like a good buy
Graham1984
To be honest I had a 206 gti beforehand and got that remapped at superchips which only gained about 12bhp and 23nm torque but surprisingly made it like a new car and a lot more responsive and keener to accelerate. As long as you are happy with a puma that to be frank is probably not much slower than my NA and a lot bloody cheaper to run I imagine that's the main thing. Thorin
You can pick up parts for them stupidly cheap, but so far I'm not doing that well with the whole saving up money thing Much less you can really do with them though so after a couple of months when I've sorted out the little things I want doing then I can start saving for the proper replacement
Graham1984
I am also about as good at saving money as a crackhead is.
Thorin
FRP cams fitted and remapped yesterday, feels much livelier from standstill (remap also removes stock torque limiter in lower gears) and revs significantly quicker through the upper rev range. Full Milltek 4-2-1 manifold and exhaust will be next
