fastcar
I have a customer with a 10 or 11 month old XK Supersport, he's done minimal mileage in it, (under 7K) always dealer maintained and in mint condition. He finds the fuel consumption excessive and wants a diesel. He paid about £92K with the toys on it, and has not had a better trade in offer than dropping £42K on it.... Ouch! He tells me one of the monthly magazines has one on long term test and that is one of the reasons he bought his. They too have suffered similar depreciation. Are these people mad, or what? Over £40K blown, it's guzzled petrol like a knackered Cadillac, and all he has to show for it are two speeding tickets and more points on his licence, and "happy memories" His wife's got the hots for a flash city slicker in the next village, his youngest daughter is being sniffed by a spotty local drug dealer, and his doctor's told him to lay off the booze. Happy days. And they say money dosent bring you happiness:d
kill1308
If I was buying with my heart, I'd get the GTR.... If I was buying with my head, I'd get the TTRS.
b_have
Just drive a GTR, I bought mine without driving it and it's many times better than I'd ever imagined. In race mode it's the nearest handling to a kart I've ever experienced. But it's the sequential box that is the clincher.

fuldhat
GTR all the way. TTRS, is just a TT with a 5 pot engine, and in a couple of years, no know will ever remember it + Servicing, dont know if it is so much cheaper in UK, but in denmark audi service is high budget only and crazy sparepart prices

Abz
Was speaking to my colleague today about this thread! He drives a Audi A5 & given the choice he also picked the GTR.... This is the bomb shell... He then goes I've booked in to test drive one! He also said, don't expect the service to be cheap on the TTRS because it is a TT. k9l3
gtr all the way but i do think the tts is nice car . main thing is petrol is going up alot and the gtr is going to be dearer to run and keep maintained i would of thought where as the tts with a remap will be be fast and with smaller running bills. if you got lots of money in the bank i would pick gtr if not so much the tts my opinion should be easyier to sell the tts aswell
jonathanc
Got the car today and absolutely smitten! New rear tyres + rain = Taking it easy though. Just one small issue about the Tyre Presure Monitoring System so I might need to get this sorted at Nissan. The dealer changed the tyres at another garage and the TPMS doesn't like this @Rob : I've paid around £39000 for it which is not bad considering the car is just serviced, bell housing sorted and 2 new rear Dunlops ... oh also got a free Road Angel thrown in as it was hard wired to car lol. A few positive and negative comments so far : Positive: - Awesome power! - The noise...even on stock exhaust is just amazing. - The looks. Kuro Black is just amazing - The economy. Driven sensibly I got nearly 28mpg on the motorway which is not too shabby. I could hit 30 but that was just too boring Around town it hovers around 18mpg though. - The gadgets - for a geek like me its just awesome! Touchscreen Nav/display,HDD music system,DVD player, and amazing custom screens showing boost, oil temps, G force etc etc... - Boot space - decent bootspace means I can actually use it for the random shopping trips Negative: - The interior is not as refined as my TTS but that's to be expected A few rattles but I will try to sort it - BOSE system not as good as the one in my TTS but then again most of the time I just switch everything off and listen to the engine! - Servicing - even though its just serviced last month the next expected service is in May or around 3800 miles but I guess you would expect that for a car like this. I will have to hunt around for decent indies

jonathanc
Good man. Glad you are happy with it mate and go easy! Cheers Will definitely be very sensible with this one. Weird emotions right now as it's still a battle of head vs heart! Missed my TTS and I heard from the dealer I've bought GTR from he sold it back to Audi so I guess the demand must be there...
