Scott
Anyone joined netflix? Seems like a pretty good deal to me. As far as I know it's pretty big in the US and just starting to take off over here. Basically you stream movies via loads of different methods (PS3, Xbox, Wii, PC). For £5.99 a month with unlimited views it seems like a cracking deal to me. As I said it's just really taking off over here so the choice of movies/tv shows isn't HUGE at the moment. I doubt it will take long though. We just joined it tonight for the months free trial, had a quick browse and I can say with certainty that I'll be sticking with it for the forseeable future. Sheefa
I'm a Lovefilm man but at £19 a month it is expensive. Certainly worth a look..........
Scott
I'm a Lovefilm man but at £19 a month it is expensive. Certainly worth a look.......... I was with lovefilm years ago, they started messing me around with taking ages to send out new titles etc so I ended up cancelling on them. I was thinking about re-joining not so long ago, purely because it was on the PS3 and I could get the games, but decided against it due to how much money they were asking. I just saw the advert on TV and when I saw £6 I was curious what the catch was. I instantly thought there would be a limit on the amount of titles you were allowed to view, but no there isn't. All they ask is that they can access your facebook to list what you are playing, but I'm sure that can be turned off easily enough. Happy camper so far and I haven't even watched anything yet
Graham1984
I still stream movies through my laptop onto my tv mainly because of two reasons, 1) I am skint at the moment, 2) It's free.

You think it's easier to walk/drive to a store, walk into it, browse shelves of DVDs wondering what you want to watch only to stand in a queue and wait to get your DVD than it is to turn on your PS3, open netflix on it click search and type in what you want to watch? Scott
i Meant About lovefilm! netflix aint used it yet. Lovefilm is the same now. You get online access, movies through the door and games through the door (depending on your membership choice).
Scott
cheers for the heads up Scott, think i may need to invest First month is free so no strings trial to see if it's for you. I've just stuck on the Kickboxer. Most stuff is in HD too so I'm highly impressed As a trial I also stuck a movie on the laptop. Not sure what the limit is but I was watching 2 movies at the one time on 2 different devices so it could be handy for a household with more than 1 viewing audience

Graham1984
Michel Qissi was his name. Believe it or not Bolo yeung was 50 years old when he was in bloodsport... Quite a hard/ sizeable 50 year old at that.
SupraD06
Im guessing although you only have to pay £6 a month, if like me you only have 20gb download p/m, then this would be eating into that? so trying to get your moneys worth and watching loads of films is going to go over my broadband limit, and therfore cost more than the £6, or am i missing something? Quite a hard/ sizeable 50 year old at that. I just had a look at the front cover for kickboxer 3, think I'll pass on watching that one lol. So Qissi was in the 1st one as Tong Po, in the 2nd one as a broken necked Tong po and in the 3rd one as a different character? Just had a look at Bolo, he was 42... still a good age though. Wouldn't guess it watching the film, the only clue is that he was in Enter the Dragon looking virtually the same lol.

Yes, if you watch an HD movie it will probably be around 2-3GB at a guess. Depends what you class as moneys worth though as I think the video stores charge something like £4 per flick. To be fair it's probably more aimed at unlimited consumers.
Graham1984
I could of sworn he was 50 years old as he was born in 1938 and it came out in 1988. I stumbled across kickboxer 3 by accident and it is just retarded but saying that the second one was pretty bad as well.

I googled it and it came up with "best guess" of 1945 lol. There are references to 1938 as well though, like you said. I don't actually remember the 2nd one. The 1st one isn't going to win any oscars but it was the right film at the right time IMO, ticked all the boxes that was required. Edit: Found this... SupraD06
True, even if you only watch 2-3 films a month its cheaper than blockbuster and the like. As you mentioned, its probably aimed at unlimited customers, in which case watching 10-20 films a month is a cracking deal. Are you sure there'sno limit to how much you can watch a month? If not then i think it might be time to switch to unlimited broadband

I'm actually surprised the main hitters are still doing limited broadband. The speeds available now mean that 20gb can be gobbled up in no-time where media is concerned. Graham1984
Yeah a couple of years ago when I was off for xmas just running a few laptops (youtube ect) xbox live and me streaming films we went through 24gb in 11days. They should all be unlimited to save the agro but the main problem can be getting a good download speed and a monthly price when you don't want a phone to be connected and just want the internet on it's own as most are bundled towards calls internet and sky tv.
