seba
Just replaced the stock N/A manifold with an aftermarket one wich also replaces the first cat. Now the new one only has 2 holes for the upper O2 sensors but there is no hole for the third O2 sensor located on the first catpart. Would the 2 upper O2 sensors suffice or should we drill another hole for the lower one? Can't imagine going from 3 to just 2 O2 sensors is not going to affect anything Thx
barneybrendan
on mine i just cable tied the third sensor up out the way ,not sure what it was actually for .
Graham1984
I thought it was a cat temp sensor. When I had my Na decatted by dude the guy there cable tied it up out of the way as if you chop it off you get warning lights come up. Graham1984
Sadly that is as far as my knowledge stretches.
Nic
The 2 upper sensors in the cast manifolds are the O2 sensors. The lower sensor in the first cat is a temperature sensor, it illuminates the dash warning light if the cat overheats, it doesn't have any effect on the performance of the car. Most just cable tie the sensor out of the way. Edited January 14, 2012 by Nic (see edit history)
