Tyson
I'd say 150 max with no MOT. With an MOT you could probaly get 300 for it.
Scott
Without an MOT it would be scrap value I would have thought. If you can get a ticket on it it would be worth a little more. To save hassle I would probably just ask a scrapyard what they would offer for it.

Noz
I reckon 300-400 with MOT and tax. The condition looks fair, but need to take into account service history and engine condition. Plus OAP's tend to go through clutchs like biscuits. That would be an ace first car.
Scott
That would be an ace first car. Unfortunately it doesn't work like that anymore. I suggested to my Nephew to get a little runaround, similar to the escort above, like I did when I had just passed. It turns out that insurance for cars like that is through the roof. If I understand it correctly it's because people don't care if they prang them. They drive old cars like that around like dodgems. The car he looked at was a 1.1 fiesta, very old and very cheap (£250 or something like that). When he enquired about insurance it was over 2k for 3rd party and £1800 for fully comp (another thing that has changed over the years, 3rd party is more expensive in some cases depending on driver and car). It's a nightmare to get started now, I dread the day my wee girl starts driving

ashbuster
supra will probably go up i guess with the prices of cars going down , when the supra is cheap enough for the everyday chav then there will be more accidents they would be hanging around there local shop sitting in it because they carnt afford the petrol lol

Noz
I noticed when I was getting quotes for different NA's, the prices were different. Weird really, they were all 94-96 manual imports, prices varied around £200! Always thought that odd. Is it true UK TT's are cheaper than import NA's? I bought my NA for cheap insurance thought since adding bits its more than a stock TT but still!! NA vs UK eh?

It's a nightmare to get started now, I dread the day my wee girl starts driving I know that feeling when i started to drive i always said i would have my own insurance and not just a named driver, and i did it but it cost £1800 for the first year in my 20 year old 1.4 renault. She wasnt even a rust bucket as it had been in the family nearly all its life and was very tidy but it still was only worth about £400. insurance these days is ridiculous and we have the huge amount of uninsured drivers and teenage chavs to thank for it. Noz
BUT.. at least their car range is limited. Scoobies are SOOOO expensive to drive they seem to be getting uncommon for young people to drive.

Scoobies are SOOOO expensive to drive they seem to be getting uncommon for young people to drive. That is somthing at least, i used to see loads of them over here but there numbers seem to have dropped allot since the cost of fuel has risen. Unfortunatly the NA supra is now at that price where the chavs can get hold of them but i dont think the majority can afford to maintain them, or drive them for that matter. Graham1984
Goes to show car insurance makes no sense when you can insure a uktt with 100bhp more than a na for less than a na hence why I was glad aviva counted my driving licence from when I got my provisional. Fully comp on a na only had a full licence for 6months was 26 at the time 1years ncb £900. Seamed fair to me
