mike33
Iam in the middle of getting a pair of new glass headlights. Do my old bulbs from the facelift fit the glass ones. Im sure there is a thread all about this already.?
Scott
They will fit with a bit of persuation. That's what I have in mine at the moment
Nic
They'll fit but the low beam bulbs from the facelift headlights are 2mm narrower in diameter so *may* not seal properly. The correct bulbs for the UK headlight dip beam are 9006/HB4, the high beam bulbs will be fine.
Morpheus
With my conversion, one bulb type wouldn't fit. The metal tabs are different to prevent incorrect fitment so best get a new pair that fit and take the light with you, as I did, to be sure. Bulbs are only a few quid and not worth bodging if you ask me. It was the cut-out in the flange being slightly different and the bulb orientation being twisted if bodged. I didn't need to cut anything or bodge anything, I just put the bulbs in. IIRC you need to hold the bulb at a slight angle to get one of the tangs past its location, but that's it.
