TwinTurboDamon
Hi all, Just wondering what the tax is(both 6 month and 12month)? Also wondering if it has changed if the Supra is a particular year (1995 for example) I'm grateful for any information you guys can give and thank you in advance. Thanks guys
fastcar
Just taxed mine it's £118 for six months can't rember what it was for the year I guess just double that then take about a skydiver off off the top. Mines a 93 but yours won't be any diffrent being a 95.
Josh
I think mine's £260 a year and £145 for 6 months (something like that). It's a '94 UK spec TT6.

TwinTurboDamon
cool, thanks Josh, do you know if its any different to an imported Supra?
Guest Budz86
Jspec's will be as Fastcar said, UK's will be as Josh said....this is assuming they debt increase the price again!

fastcar
The j-spec TT is the same tax class as my Astra van that is a 1.7 turbo deisel. Dont make any since really as seeing my dad has a 2.2 omega and is paying £190 for six months just because it's a newer car. Very strange that a uk-spec is more then a j-spec to tax
Westy
£215 a year in sure for mine.
TwinTurboDamon
sounds very Bizaar Fastcar, I'l never understand how tax works tbh, the only explanation i can think of to why a supra is lower to tax than i expected, is because of the turbos, burnin waste gases. and Thanks alot Westy
James
The taxing worked in such a way relating to displacement until 2001 I believe. For example, taxing a pre-2001 Supra TT (3.0 FI) would be the same as taxing a Civic EK9 (1.6 NA) as the last banding stopped at 1600cc. In other words anything pre 2001 (and post something, I forget what year) that are 1600cc or above cost the same to tax. Hopefully someone can confirm/correct that. I'm around £210/£215 on mine for a year. Can't remember which.

My car was registered in 2002 but it was done properly in that the information shows that it's an import and that it is in fact older than this. Supras that you see with 02+ registrations will most likely cost around £400 per year to tax.

Graham1984
Depends on driving style really but mainly I wouldn't worry about it if you are owning a car like this it was never for fuel economy.

London Driving - make that 250miles per 65 ltr at a cost of GBP80 to fill up (V Power) - thirsty cars these - like pretty much most sports cars - including modern ones.
