Hellstrom
Thinking of buying a Ultrasonic cleaner for the smaller engine parts (valves, pistons, bearings etc.) anyone have bought one and whats there thoughts if they have? are the cheap ones crap or are they actually good enough for cleaing pistons etc? edge
Most of the el-cheapo ones will be fine just make sure it's big enough for what you need as some parts will take a while if heavy with crud Also the chemicals used will play a big part to how well the bits come out. But a bucket, brush and some good strong degreaser will be alot cheaper though and probably more than enough for what you need to do. Hellstrom
Cheers but i rather not brush my injectors + i want the parts to be absolutly clean. i was thinking of using Disel in the ultrasonic cleaner might not be a good idea? and i really hate to brush the stuff. i allready cleaned the head and block with a highpressure washer with heated water. its just all thoose small parts left now. Chris Wilson
They are useless for engine parts with varnish and suchlike on them. Soda blasting or wet soda blasting or good, as the media dissolves in water and won't get trapped in crevices like sand, glass beads and coconut shell.
