CJ
Probably just a folder that has been hidden ages ago but went un-noticed due to hidden files/folders being shown previously. Any file that goes into a hidden folder will obviously not show regardless of whether it is individually hidden or not Strangely no. This was a file I was using the same day as I upgraded to the 64bit version. It had never been hidden as I wouldn't have known how to do that. Tis witchcraft I tell ye!!! Scott
Strangely no. This was a file I was using the same day as I upgraded to the 64bit version. It had never been hidden as I wouldn't have known how to do that. Tis witchcraft I tell ye!!! Yerp..... but.... what I'm saying is the folder would have already been hidden. Because hidden files was showing on the previous install you just wouldn't notice If you viewed my PC you would see all manor of things that you don't see from my laptop. When on the PC you wouldn't notice if they were hidden or un-hidden, on the laptop they just wouldn't exist. This is because my PC is set to view hidden files, the laptop isn't. On your previous install, without your knowing, the PC was set to view hidden files. The folder you copied all your stuff into was set to "hidden", not sure how this would have happened but it has. On your previous install you would have had no idea but as soon as you tried to view the folder in your current install it wasn't visible due to the option being turned off. If there is one thing about PCs that I know for a fact to be true it's that they don't do things on their own, no matter how much you believe that they have or do. Everything that they do they are told to do, whether it be by a person or software.

Chris Wilson
LOTS of automotive diagnostic stuff won't run or even load on 64 bit systems, hope you aren't planning on using any? FWIW, my tip with a working PC system is leave the ruddy thing alone

FWIW, my tip with a working PC system is leave the ruddy thing alone No chance of me running any automotive stuff Chris and so I,m am safe there. I agree about leaving them alone though. My problem stems from spending so much time at home due to the treatment and boredom setting in. Twitchy fingers and an overactive brain then kicks in.
