Noz
Would it be possible to put JSpec Supra brakes onto an MR2, my mrs needs a new caliper, and Im swapping mine for some UK fronts soon and it just doesn't seem sense for her to buy bran new when I will have a set lying about. Thanks
abtin90
Also interested in finding out the same as my brother has an mr2 and is looking to get new brakes and I'll have a set of spare jspecs once I get hold of a set of uk brakes.
Scott
I asked this and I was told no. I didn't take it any further than this. I'm guessing they could be made to fit but my question was more regarding a straight swap.
j_jza80
I would tread very carefully when altering the brake balance on an MR2.
abtin90
I was hoping they'd be a straight swap, guess ill have to start looking for some mr2 brakes. Thanks for the advice.
straightsix
Which caliper do you need? There's 3 MR2's in the breakers yard local to me - could have a look next time I'm there if you like? PM me to give me a heads up if you do
barneybrendan
im sure the celica breaker down our way will have loads on the shelf aswell if you get stuck
j_jza80
Another way might be either Lexus LS400 4 pots or Celica GT4 ones (though these are more likely to be an easier swap, they'll also be more expensive) However, as I said be careful when fitting different brakes to those, MR2s are notorious for swapping ends if you overcook it into a bend and have to slow down quickly as standard, upsetting the brake balance is likely to make this worse. I'd speak to someone like Chris Wilson before proceeding.
