Satnavs for Dragonball

Branners

Recommended Posts

Just picked mine up! Updating maps etc now. Nice bit of kit for the money. 50% off accessories too which is handy.

Thanks for the heads up!

Tasha's picked mine up, she got a case for it as well for a tenner. I'm thinking £22 wasnt the original price of the case though lol.

The case is a bit wasted to be honest, you cannot fit the satnav and the low level mounting bracked in the case, you have to take it off the bracket and either leave the bracket in the car, or buy another carry case for the bracket!!

I also have additional Points of Interest on mine including Shell Petrol stations, McDonalds, Fastfood restaurants and showing my age...English Heritage sites.

Things I did to mine...changed the status bar to be on the right hand side of the screen, turned off the speed camera warnings (as I started to rely on them and found it missed a few cameras much to my surprise and that of my passenger...) and stopped it automatically dropping in to night mode when it thinks it should be dark outside.

itinerary has not been completed yet. Im tweaking the Saturday route due to the sheer number of cars, then working out the simple Sunday route.

Should have them soon. Then we use a thing called Tyre to convert them to Garmin and Tomtom ITN files and dish those out. Will probably issue them just before we go so any changes are updated properly.

XXL does not have a card slot. But you plug it in to a PC and it becomes like a flash drive, you just browse to the ITN folder and drop it in there. It is then listed in the itinarary section on the satnav.

There are now 3 versions of Tyre, hopefully the free version will cover most peoples needs.

(obviously my Binatone is not called Colin..)

:D

Thank you JB. I think that's what we will do as for us to shell out £90 on a piece of kit we will probably use just once seems a bit silly.

I'm pretty sure we will keep up :D
