_Shane_
When my supra went and got the single turbo kit fitted and fuel system changed i got the car back and the petrol gauge is reading incorrectly When i have pretty much no petrol / light on the gauge is reading 1/4 of tank of fuel How can i fix this ? The guy at the garage said it was an easy fix etc just dont fancy having to go all the way back there to have it done lol cheers
themodifiedkid
Could possibly be the sender unit in the fuel tank, If the fuel pump was replaced which im sure it would have been, the hanger could been put back slightly off set meaning that the sender unit will not read correctly. Im crap at explaining things, (i know what i mean )
Lude
think you will need to take the fuel pump out, in the boot, the sensor thing is a little float, at least it was on previous cars ive had....

themodifiedkid
10 minutes work to take the fuel pump hanger out the boot Yeah as above mate. Took me longer as I had to remove my boot build first, which was a PITA
fastcar
The float that reads the level of petrol you have in your tank is attached to a metal rod from what i can remember that is not to hard to bend if your not careful. Maybe it has been bent when being put back in the tank. If it has it might take a fair bit of fiddling to get it reading true again:)
