Guest Roger NE
I'm currently getting lots of info to fit a Mk4 2JZ-GE in my Mk3 Supra . . . Here's a question: On the 7M series engines (usually fitted to the Mk3) most of us completely remove the EGR system, as it's a waste of space and adds more heat to the back of the cylinder head Do you guys remove it from the 2J engines? absz
you can just remove it and blank off the hole, the EGR acutally reduces the combustion temperatures by adding burnt gases back into the intake reducing Nitrogen Oxides. you have a choice save the planet or gain more engine power:d
Guest Roger NE
So does that mean a 2JZ-GE engine from a Mk4 Supra, presumably must be a Jap Import, WON'T have any EGR on it anyway?

Chris Wilson
I used to sell a kit to blank off EGR on UK spec and USA spec engines. Not sold one for years though.
Guest Roger NE
Yes I blanked off the EGR on my current 7M-GE engine years ago, and removed all the clutter !! But looking to fit a 2JZ-GE in my Mk3 soon . . so glad it will come without any of the EGR system! Many thanks for the help guys
