tbourner
Is it possible to in any way filter a group that includes differently merged cells? I have in columnA numbers, 1 to whatever, but they're merged into 1,2,3,4 up to 8 rows. So for example: row 1 is (1) rows 2-3 are (2) rows 4-5 are (3) row 6 is (4) rows 7-10 are (5) Then to make things worse the other columns are also in different merges, some are all separate, some have 2 merged cells for one merged cell in column A - like next to number (5) column B is merged row 7-8, and row 9-10, then in column C all 4 rows are separate! So now I've confused you, is it possible to filter all this in some way by any column? So I could filter to row 9 in column C and still see the number (5) relating to it? tbourner
Now I've done that mini-sheet it seems to be working. Maybe I'm trying to filter too many columns - I may have to change my top row merges to filter from.
tbourner
No, it doesn't. So on the attachment, for example set a filter on cells 'Vendor' across to 'Family'. If you then drop down on 'Model' and select 'Compass', you only get the top row of the Compass data rather than all 4 rows.
