Tingaki John. I go every year, twice a year and have doen for the past 6 years or so.

I remember it back in 1987, it was just a taverna and a handful of houses, has it grown since into a touristic monstrosity?

Unfortunately the GoogleEarth maps haven't got hirez on Kos, so I can't check :D

I think that's where I almost got killed, the road from Tigaki to the main road. A goat jumped right in front of me, I was on a rental DT125LC with a pillion, hit it bullseye at 80ish km/hr. Managed to avoid leaving flesh on the tarmac, but boooy was it close.

Well, it has quite a number of tavernas / bars now but is still relatively quiet compared to other areas. The crazy locations are Kos Town and Kardamena where pavement pizzas and macdonalds boxes abound.

Tingaki is still very much a family / older resort that still has the semblence of Greece! Next year i am going to do 3 weeks and spend 1 week on Pserimos and them 2 weeks on Kos - heaven!!!

I have returned from my summer sojourn to Kos and am GLB in colour. It was a great holiday made even better by having some great company.

So, now to trawl the threads to see what I have missed. :read:

Pserimos...I've been there once on a friend's boat.

A rock in the middle of the sea :p

Yeah - that just about sums it up :D I went there this trip but only as part of the 3 island boat trip (great fun) to Plati, Pserimos and Kalymnos. They now have a few tavernas and a restaurant but nothing much else but I thought it really would be a great place to chill for a week before heading back to Kos.
