Im not bothered if its a petrol mate, I will edit my post. Whats your BM like? I done alot of reading into DPF's on new diesel cars and its put me off to be honest so petrol is not a problem

I've had rafts of diesels and they do save alot of dosh. They have a downside and that is on a whole they cost so much more to buy second hand which if you are paying on any kind of finance is counter productive. Diesel is more expensive than petrol by quite a bit. Modern petrols if driven right can return good mpg. I recently bought a 2002 V5 golf for £1200 and it gave me 48.3 mpg last week on my way to work on super unleaded!! I usually get 39-42 mpg out of it, yeah this is mostly 40 limit driving but I got a mad on the other day and 12 miles of 3 figure speeds still returned me 28 mpg.

Have you tried a bit of hyper miling and driving this car like it was a diesel? You'd be quite shocked at the difference it makes. Could make keeping this car an option for sure.

I think the permanent 4wd is one killer on the juice over most cars, but its the Mrs that mainly wants to change car. She would like something smaller to be honest, not fused how much power, infact she said just today that she would have another TT supra if the kids seats went in the back ok lol. She drives the car alot more than me as I have a company Van I drive 5 days a week so Iv got to listen to her a little bit. Its me that wanted something better on the juice as I pay for it and she just uses it everyday (on maternity leave at the mo so all over the place with the kids) The car is nice and I wanted to keep it but the ride is a bit harsh for the kids on Tein coilovers and we Travel 180miles to Scotland and back every now and then to visit her family and it aint the quietest thing on the motorway when you just want the kids to go to sleep and stop crying. I dont think sound proofing was top of the list when they built this. Doesnt bother me but I know where she is coming from.

I do really like your lexus it looks stunning but I dont have that type of money spare at the moment to put towards it :( I have just been offered an Altezza RS200 which was really nice but its due all the service work (timing belt etc) and I have just done it all on the Caldina so didnt fancy forking out for all that again. and the guy changed his clocks aswel and now cant prove milage so I dont want it but it was appealing with that yamaha engine. Its the same car as the IS200 I think. How much power does that Lexus make?
