Branners
Adobe Premiere Elements is okay. Or you can do a convert to a different format and use WIndows Movie Maker.

Attero
How far can you compress a 1080p video without losing too much quality? Did a 9 minute video in the Supra and got 800mb video. I was astonished by the size!
Ian C
You can get ok quality at 2mpbs with 1080p, that'd get your 9 minutes down to 240mb. 1080p is four times as much information as the old 720*576 standard def resolution, so the file sizes generally end up three to four times the size. I wouldn't class Vegas as 'simple' editing software, but if you know what you want to achieve, the built-in help is very very good. It's everything you'd need and then some, you can achieve some great things with it.
