SupraStar 3000
You may be better asking by starting a new thread so more members see it. Sounds odd to me. AFAIK all engines must have a vin plate.
Dnk
Why doesnt it have an engine number ? I'd carry on looking mate if i were you, dont end up buying the wrong car as you'll regret it for a long time, its a buyers market these days so take you time
Guest Aris
The engine number was under the block and he did not know that, so he will check it and pm me. Just received the phone call
Pixelfill
I don't think The VIN plate has the engine number on it - only the frame number, and engine model. See the following reference http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?101452-VIN-Plate-decoder

Guest Aris
Where do we look for the engine number on the supra?? It is not written on the plate?? The seller told me that it is on the engine bay and cannot see it correctly, on the HPI check he did, it showed the engine number as not known?? What is your advice on this?? The chassis is JZA80-1005062 Edited January 11, 2012 by Aris More info (see edit history)
Dnk
As you stand at the front of the car, the engine number is on the right hand side, towards the front of the block near the sump. Its got the engine code 2JZ cast, then below that a row of numbers Pinched from another thread.
