Dragonball 2012 is a go

Our trip this year will go through France, then Belgium and end up in Rotterdam in Holland. The dates are from the 18th May to the 20th May 2012.

We will depart around 7.30am on Friday 18th May on the Eurotunnel to Calais. We will then travel through Northern France, dropping on to normal A roads for most of the journey through Belgium and Holland, ending up at the NH Cappelle hotel North East of Rotterdam. We will return to Calais for a 4pm Eurotunnel departure to Folkestone on Sunday 20th May.

Eurotunnel costs will be £82 return (still to be confirmed)

Hotel costs will be £65 per night for a twin/double room, so that will be £130 for the two nights. This includes breakfast for both days, making this a great rate for this hotel.

Both these items will be put up in the shop by Wednesday 4th January with only 20 spaces being available initially. You will need to buy a Eurotunnel item and a hotel item from the shop.

You may purchase multiple items, so you can purchase 2 hotel rooms and 2 Eurotunnel, or just 1 Eurotunnel and 2 hotel rooms if you wish.

Everything will be done electronically, so you wont get any tickets but you will receive PMs with your booking details.

A chat thread has also been created here http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?260681-Dragonball-2012-Rotterdam-Chat-thread

This is intended as a mkiv supra owners club event, non-supras are welcome but we may choose to limit the number of non supras if we feel the level of non-supras is too high.

As part of your booking you will be provided with a commemorative handbook which will contain your stickers, your itinary and some other relevent information. Bigger stickers will be available for purchase on the day.

Driving distances will be kept to a reasonable level. Assume around 600 miles in total from Calais to Rotterdam, to the drive out on Saturday and then back to Calais on the Sunday.

The hotel is has a good restaurant and dutch style pub. It is also located close to one of the biggest shopping arcades in Rotterdam allowing us to head out for an evening meal on the Saturday and then retire to the hotel for an evening of cars and drink.

Garmin and hopefully TomTom downloadable route plans will be available for the journey.

Hotel costs are down to around £65 per night including breakfast and city tax now. I have some padding in there due to Euro conversion fluctuations so that price may go down again.

Eurotunnel price is going to be lower too.
