DodgyRog
Jen has just gone and spent an obscene amount of money on a Super Kingsize Tempur bed Just wandered if anyone has one and there opinion on them It's a bit late now, but I would just like to know why it's so bloody expensive:faint:
shaky
I have one and they are expensive because they are the best you can get.
Havard
How much has she spent? We paid about £800 for ours which was quite reasonable for a king size. Ours is good but it can get a little warm at times. H.

Josh
I find Tempur beds good for bad backs and bad for good sex. Keep the old mattress and do 'er on the floor I've always wondered about one. I'd love a proper comfy big bed. The springs are bost in mine.
Axle
Yeh they are excellent, however for certain activities that do lack 'bounce'.
David P
Tempur is so good at damping undulations, it's a wonder C.W. doesn't stuff it into his Bilsteins.

H. best part of £2500 for a Super Kingsize, that's for a Tempur matress and a very nice solid wood bedstead I find Tempur beds good for bad backs and bad for good sex. The bit for bad backs will be good, we will have to try it out for the sex part I guess, just have to keep practising if it doesn't seem right:innocent:
Havard
Jesus...£2500..?? I hope it is going to see some serious action for that money. Ours is just memory foam on top and sprung underneath. H.

Abz
£2,500!!! I looked at quite a few mattress's before ending up picking one up for £150 direct from the factory! Found out through a friend the place was only 3 miles down the road from me so causally pop down, found the one I wanted & just put it on the roof & drove home in style... okay the last bit might not be so true! Same mattress in store (Dream etc) was £800+!

Hopefully it will get some action at least:innocent: We have a 50/50 matress at the moment, think it's a Silentnight and it's only survived about 3 years and is saging already, hence needing a new one. With the guarantees on Tempur stuff, least we know we have at 10 years of use from this one Holy mother of Mary - £2.5K!!!!! You can buy an NA for that money! Yeah I bought the White N/A for a lot less, I definately won't be selling mine now we can afford a bed like this £2,500!!! Also this is for a Super Kingsize, which is the biggest bed made in the UK off the shelf Tempur matresses are never on offer even if you buy direct they are pretty much always at the same prices The Bedstead and Tempur Matress have a 10 year Insurance Warranty as well

Next your be doing your weekly shop in M&S to cut back So did I mate Jen got a very nice bonus from work and has also been doing 80 hour plus weeks (overtime rates after 37 hours) to pay for the holiday and saving for a bed Her bonus is worked out on hours worked and productivity, with her pretty much doing 7 day weeks, 80 hours plus every week for the whole year means her bonus was over double what we were expecting It was the reason I never would of asked her to sell her Civic Type R so I could of kept the Supra, she works stupidly hard and never moans about it

ripped_fear
We have one at our house, very comfortable but if you are a hot sleeper like myself you will find them very warm indeed. Due to the mattress not breathing.
Rob
First time I sat on one I severly burnt my cobblers. Turns out I'd been mis-sold a Tempura bed instead.

Due to the mattress not breathing. Apparently these new ones breath much better than the originals, but we will see. They have a 40 day test period, unconditional return policy if your not happy
