p00t
Will a uk spec bonnet (ie. with vent) fit on my Jap spec supra, and if so how much would it cost? I think it looks like it's missing something without the vent.
toyotasuprauk
To my knowledge there is no reason why you cant fit a UK bonnet to a JAP import and visa versa etc. A new bonnet costs about £500 from Toyota as they are aluminium. But you should be able to pick one up second hand for much less.
Ibrar Jabbar
Alternatively, You could just buy the scope and fit it to your J-spec bonnet.
p00t
I presume attaching one would mean that i'd have to cut a hole in my existing bonnet. A bit risky if i was to do it myself. I suppose i could pay someone to fit it but then the costs involved would probably near the price of buying a new one...
Terminator
No way as expensive as buying a UK bonnet. Leon can sort you out.

lovatt
where is this leon based maybe i can paint these scoops (not for personal gain !)and then he can fit them, this would be even cheaper i dont mind paying him to fit it as i dont like cutting big holes in my own pride and joy
peter richards
when i spoke to him today he didnt mention painting , so ill have to ask about that , he is at milton keynes. from where i live a looooong way away .
dude
Never had to fit one of these but it cant be that hard , shouldnt cost more than £50 with materials to paint one . John:flame Dev
peter richards
hi john, i thaught 270 was abit expensive, and it probably didnt incude painting , what do you think ?
dude
Peter £270 without painting would be a bit dear , it would be simple enough to fit , ive got to phone Toyota for some prices tommorrow so i'll find out how much a scoop is , funny thing is this part might come pre-painted like the rear bumper and noecone . peter richards
if we could get the scoop would you really have to drill all the holes . i mean just cosmetic.
dude
Peter if you only want it to be cosmetic you wouldnt have to cut out a big hole but you would have to drill some holes for the mounting bolts and it might be a good idea to find the centre of the bonnet so its in the middle , i've got a uk car outside , i'll have a look in the morning and see whats involved , i know they have a little snorkel thing sticking up that takes the cool air over to the turbos somewhere so i'll find out if this comes with the kit (doubt it) , why not be different and fit another scoop (scooby , lancer etc) and remember real men have AB FLUG bonnets . LOL. John:flame Dev
