ManwithSupra
Right I have no sorted the 4x4 I will be looking to get to trailer my Track car it will be either one of these. Nissan Navara, Landrover Discovery or a Mistibushi L200 now I come on to trailer selection. Now by todays standards the Supra is still a fairly large Car, So based on that I will need a twin axel braked trailer, but does anyone have any suggestions on which one I should be looking at? Dnk
Is your track car stock, no skirts or silly low front bumpers ? or big wide wheels. A mate had his kitted mkiv recovered on a twin axle and it only just fitted but scraped the wheels and the skirts so do a bit of measuring before you buy. Its this one.. its not your average Supra http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/319959_10150342660723802_524978801_8220927_1465483808_n.jpg So yep its pretty low and has a flat floor. So probably a low level tilting trailer with Ramp extentions would be ok.
ManwithSupra
This is the lowest trailer i could find... so far. http://www.trailertek.com/2119/car_transporters/tt-low-level-trailer/ The issue is that the front of the car does not have much clearance at all as its designed to be on a track. Nice thing is this place is only up the road from me I may ask to see if I could borrow one to see if it will fit
GazB
Brian James A Max Its a good flat bed, low as bed sits at wheel hub height, extra long ramps so loading and unloading isn't an issue. No side bars on the bed to make strapping down a problem. Give them a call and take the car over they will be able to sort the easiest for you, i brought new as it was needed in an hurry and couldn't find anything that was right for the job second hand. With new straps, winch, security bar etc it wasn't cheap but i'm well pleased with it and it would sell easily enough if i didn't need it. Wez
Brian James tilt bed
Chris Wilson
Given the width of a Supra you will need wheels under bed, or the overall width of the trailer will be illegally wide. So, with wheels UNDER the bed you really need 10 inch wheels to get as low a bed height as posible. The one you showed in the thumbnail is a Brian James rebadged, and has the expensive 10 inch wheel and tyre package. You may find they do a 4 wheel one in the same style that will handle the weight, Finding a used one will be hard work, and they hold their prices well. my Briam James TT is neither tilt bed nor the 10 inch wheel model. If you get a super heavy duty jockey wheel you can tilt it nearly as high as tilt bed one will go, or use a trolley jack. The chances of finding a GOOD, USED, race car friendly trailer CHEAP is virtually nil, they fetch daft money I am afraid, You'll be into getting JUST the right angle, planks, fiddling and cursing with that car on most trailers. Truck with a big D'Hollandia tailift?
