b_have
Hi all, I'm fitting a 2KW inverter into my mobile workshop (karting) and need to run a cable from the 110ah leisure battery to the inverter. Can I use cooker type cable to connect or what would you recommend? (will only be running power tools and 1kw kettle from the inverter). hackin_n_bashin
If it's all inside, you'll get away with some 6mm twin n skin (cooker type cable) most diy places will have it. If your routing it outside, you'll either need to put it in a conduit or use a SWA cable, 6mm again, 3 core (2 cores and an earth) you might get away with 2.5 or 4mm but you shouldn't use power tools and boil the kettle at the same time.
