CJ
For such a man and icon I think this latest of episodes has tarnished him and the club and a lot of rebuilding is needed in regards to reputation on and off the field! I agree. I always had a huge amount of respect (albeit given grudgingly) for Liverpool FC. Through people like Shanks, Paisley et al they always seemed to show class and dignity and this was especially evident in the past when my own team (the mighty Leeds ) won the championship at Anfield and were given an ovation by the Liverpool fans. Sadly, that reputation is now in tatters and Dalglish really has to shoulder a lot of the blame.
CJ
Just heard on the radio that Suarez has made a public apology ands admitted what he did yesterday was wrong. I also heard that the MD of Liverpool FC came out and admonished Suarez too. Finally some semblance of dignity. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2100069/Luis-Suarez-apologises-Patrice-Evra.html

All the way through LFC have handled it appallingly. If they had immediately put out an appology for Suarez (even if he wasnt actually sorry ) then the whole thing would have been forgotten very quickly. They could have sent him on a course to educate him and could have actually have come out of the whole thing looking like good guys. They then made a complete botch of their evidence in the enquirey. Finally they should have decided that none of ther players would shake hands before the game. IMHO both Suarez and Evra are liars/whingers/scumbags and should take a long look at the rugby players who know how to behave like men should. The Raven
It's an absolute disgrace that Suarez and Kenny have to apologise for the sstorm that was perpetrated by a lying devious tat and his corrupt manager with help from the corrupt FA. TBH, that was my first reaction too. But, at least now sanity has somewhat prevailed and a line can be drawn under the situation and everyone can move on. Mind you, somehow I don't see Suarez being out of the limelight in the coming weeks as he seems to attract controversy - albeit unwittingly. Yep, and once you're prime focus for the media, it's hard to shift that. Similarly, I think the journos are going to press Dalglish now too - as he's very volatile. Well said that chap. Apart from the fake blood injuries, eye gouging, spear tackles (attempted murder) dwarf chucking etc.
Nemesis
They only apologised after being told to by the owners. This story has made it to the states now and is obviously embarrassing for them, wonder if an apology would have been forthcoming otherwise. Can understand the tribal feel to an extent but love should never be blind, Suarez has done nothing to deserve even an iota of loyalty from Liverpool and I hope they get rid, maybe to Utd. MVP
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCGG2_hNB4A I think that pretty much clears it up. Anyone who says Suarez wasn't being racist is a sandwich short of a picnic.

Anyone who says Suarez wasn't being racist is a sandwich short of a picnic. Yeah really clears it up, Evra claims he said that by no means is it fact, If Luis was acting in that manner evra should have reported it to the ref straight away. Other players would have heard it also, however none of them reported it to the ref or gave statements to the FA. Again if that is total proof then its far worse than JT and the police would have taken up the case, and they have not. However if he did say half of that he should be fired on the spot. No one will ever know what went down between them apart from the two in question. I am still shocked Luis admitted to anything i dont think they would have been able to prove a case if he had flat out said he didnt do anything. Yet, no appeal or argument from Liverpool FC. If that statement wasn't true, Liverpool's legal team would be all over that like a bad suit. The Raven
They didnt show the bit in front of it where he clearly said where that "quote" came from. Hes reading it from the desk!!! As i said if he said that he should have been fired on the spot and reported to the police. The FA said hes not a racist, how on earth is he not if its proved he said 1/4 of that?
