I would have shaken his hand with the least amount of enthusiasm I could muster. To me, that would have shown an end to the matter.

personally I would have hugged him but everyone deals withy things in different ways. But as you say there needs to be an end brought to this one way or another!

Didn't realise Ferdinand refused to shake saurez' hand! How can someone sit there and say that is exceptable but Suarez not shaking evras hand is not! Same thing in my eyes! They should have done what they did at Chelsea and QPR the other day!

If he was banned for racisam why would another black player want to shake his hand.

I cant see the point of shaking hands before the game it wont stop any nasty challenges or make players kiss and make up their differences.

I agree I don't see the point of the hand shake! He was banned and then served the ban and that should be the end of the matter.

He should have shook all hands or no ones hand. Valencia shook his hand an he is also black?!

I don't condone racism in any form and I don't condone the attitude of either team today and have been thoroughly disappointed by both Evra and Suarez :(

Kenny Dalglish is just making himself and the club look ridiculous after his comments today. BBC Football states this following the match:

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish responded: "I think you're bang out of order to blame Luis Suarez for anything that happened here today."

Dalglish said he did not see Suarez refuse to shake hands with Evra, and does not blame the Uruguayan for the bad blood that marred the contest.

"I never knew Suarez refused to shake Evra's hand," Dalglish said. "I wasn't there, I never saw it. It's contrary to what I've been told."

Dalglish is showing signs of someone under severe mental pressure. I think he's almost at cracking point. I hope he is.

Old duck lips did it because your player, who answered evra question as to why you kicked me "because you are black", did not shake our captains hand. Completely different i am afraid.

Not the same at all I'm afraid especially as evra pulled his hand down then put it back up and suggested that he didn't want to shake it! But they all need to grow up and realise what a bad example they are setting!!

What a farce both evra and luis are to blame evra made it hard to shake his hand but luis should have stood there and clearly offered it. Kenny tried to avoid the question i would guess the board will want input before they say anything. If you watch the interview he says luis isnt to.blame for anything that happened in the crowd today. Once again they clipped it to make it look like he is standing up for luis

He refused to be drawn by the BBC on it, but sky pushed for a comment

He said he didnt see it. Fair enough i suppose hes trying not to comment.

When the reporter said well now i have told you what do you think? and do you think it made things worse today.

Dalgish took it to mean that Luis was to blame for crowd issues and defended him by saying nothing out there is his fault.

Hes not mad. He does not like Jurnos, and wont play games like the man before him. However i think this whole mess might make him step down and Luis will be sold in the summer.

Crying shame that.

John terry take note, you get charged you might awell retire.

I did t think Evra did anything wrong in the hand shake episode. I have looked at it several times and can see no evidence of him making it difficult.

As for dalglish, it isn't just the Suarez thing that sees him looking and acting so volatile. As I said earlier, I saw him when asked about Carroll and he went off on one then.

I honestly think he is suffering under the pressure and is close to cracking. Yesterday's incident was yet another that he could have done without.

For such a man and icon I think this latest of episodes has tarnished him and the club and a lot of rebuilding is needed in regards to reputation on and off the field!
