spikedjack
http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=24900 What are everyones thoughts? Will the 2jz-GTE and 2jz-GE be fine for that matter on this fuel? or would it be a case of reverting to aftermarket management with a map to suit? could we see any issues over this? Thought it'd be a nice disscussion for here, however please advise if it is a repost
johnny g
Seems that the only Toyota/Lexus engines that aren't suitable are the FSE engines, or Direct Injection - so the 2JZ should be fine.
The Raven
Its my understanding the N/A engine will run on cow turd, bits of tissue paper, and waste oil. Nothing can kill that block. A mapped single? Who knows until it starts pinking

AndrewOW
I've just had a look online, and the 1993 onwards Supras are compatible. Pre 1993 aren't, and any car before 1986 aren't either.

David P
In the good old days, Esso claimed to "put a tiger in your tank" but "Cleveland" petrol had alcohol in it and that put a "kangaroo" in your tank. I remember watching the hop-skip-and-jump starts. Edited December 20, 2011 by David P (see edit history)
Jellybean
I taught it was more to do with the Seals in the fuel system? A few guys over here ran Bioethnol mix with regular petrol, 40 to 60 % mix and had no issues
