skippyboyo1
It will not be the lights. I am somewhat embarrassed to admit that the caps that fit in the fog lights were missing from a piss poor HID install in Japan. Once I unravelled the wiring I found the caps wrapped up in insulation tape. After getting new caps as the original had had holes drilled in them to run wires through, returned the lights to a stock set up solved all my problems. H. Well it's good news you have solve the issue! I was expecting massive issues!!!
skippyboyo1
Ive just bought a set from toyota and mines are fogging up to. Not happy. Im going to go see Mr T and see what they say. So could you have the same issue that h managed to solve?
Havard
So could you have the same issue that h managed to solve? My issue was water running down the side of the bonnet and going directly into the back of the light. Even on a hot day the fogging went away but at night it all came back as there was loads of water in the bottom of the light.

You should be running the caps ! I drilled a hole in the centre of each cap the hid wiring comes with a rubber grommet but I still covered it in sealant

Have you got HID fog lights as well? I still have HID's for the main light but I now have stock fogs with Osram nightbreakers. Not a bright but never got moisture in once. Havard
Yes hid for both. I wonder if they have wrapped the caps in with the wiring like they did with mine or have just drilled a hole to get the wires through?

I think it safe to say either would not help

Havard
Pics with the fog bulbs on? (preferably in the dark to see them next to HIDs) The fogs are no where near as good as the HID's that were in. That said, there was no real way of keeping them without having the moisture problem. You could drill them and re seal them with silicone but I wouldn't be too chuffed if that method didn't work. The car is with Mr Kirk at the moment being BPU'd and MOT'd. Once I get it back I will get a picture. I have never needed to use the fogs as it doesn't go out much in winter anyway.
