CJ
My sons have asked what I want for Xmas and to be honest, I am a bit stumped. I don't need clothes, don't do gaming, D/L all the TV and music I want / need and have nothing for the money (about 50.00 tops) that I can think of that I really want. I had thought of upgrading my PC to a bigger memory as my current system (see here) only utilises 2gb RAM and I thought of maybe asking them to buy either this or this as a replacement. Alternatively, I could always put extra towards it and buy this package. What do you folks think on the above or do you have any other ideas for a nice pressie for around 50.00? CJ
ticket to grand prix or some other race day ect I doubt I would get that for 50.00 my friend. Plus of course, it would need 2 tickets as company would be handy on the day.
mellonman
i think as you have everything you want then should go for experiances, horse riding, plane jump, bungy jump, rock climing, sailing, paintballing, sphering, balloon ride, these are just ideas you could go the local pub and enjoy it with your family
stevie_b
The expeirence days aren't cheap either. I doubt you get any change from £100. Dinner at a nice restaurant. or... Time with your sons if you don't see them much already: maybe a day out with them or something. I'm surprised at how much some people on here spend on each other at times like Christmas. The "What are you getting your other half" thread raises my eyebrows, especially when someone says something like, "I'll get her a 2 week holiday in the Maldives in the New Year, but so she's got something to enjoy on the day I've bought her 2 laptops and an iPad". CJ
I am erring towards my initial idea of the memory upgrade but topped up with the Bill Bryson book, "A short history of nearly everything" which I read and re-read but then lost somewhere on my travels. That being the case, can someone advise as to which of the 2 RAM listed earlier is the most suitable?
stevie_b
Both those memory packs seem *very* similar, almost identical. One has a supply voltage of 1.9V, the other 1.8V. That's the only difference I've found! I think either would be fine, I'd probably go for whatever's cheaper.
Josh
If you wanted an experience day, indoor skydiving is only about £30 so you could take them with you
